What makes Bloomlight S different from a conventional or smart lamp?
Bloomlight S does more than illuminate a room. Its built-in presence sensor notices a person, bends towards them and opens into warm light. The interaction is part of the lamp itself, so no app or smart-home system is required.
How does Interactive mode work?
In Interactive mode a built-in presence sensor notices someone nearby, and Bloomlight S opens towards them — then returns to rest when the space is empty. It senses presence only; there is no camera.
How do the controls work?
A single rotary dial does the work: turn it to dim, press it to step through the available light colours. A three-position switch selects Interactive, Open or Closed.
Is the light dimmable?
Yes — continuously adjustable, from a soft glow to full brightness.
What colour is the light?
The standard white light is warm white at 2700K and continuously dimmable. You can also select from the available light colours.
Can Bloomlight S stay open without using the sensor?
Yes. Set it to Open and it works as an ordinary floor light with no sensor involved — or Closed to let it rest. You are never dependent on the sensor.
Does the sensor use a camera?
No. Bloomlight S detects presence only — no camera, no recording, and no app or account required.
What is the price of Bloomlight S?
Bloomlight S is €4,917 excl. VAT (€5,950 incl. 21% VAT for EU private buyers). The price covers one individually numbered, made-to-order lamp with a two-year warranty and lifetime repair service. Shipping and any project-specific customisation are quoted separately.
Can Bloomlight S be customised for my project?
Yes. For interior and hospitality projects, we can explore custom height, shade and leaf materials, and stone base finishes. Share your space, quantity and timing and we will confirm what is feasible and quote it separately.
Can Bloomlight S be used outdoors?
The standard Bloomlight S is made for indoor use and has no outdoor IP rating. For outdoor and public spaces, its bigger sibling Bloomlight L is built for the elements. For a covered hospitality setting or a bespoke application, contact us and we'll propose the right solution.
Is it suitable for hotels, offices and other public interiors?
Yes, when the position and clearance suit the space. We can advise on placement, movement range and operation using a floor plan, room image or project brief.
What are the lead time and international shipping options?
Bloomlight S is made to order in Amsterdam with a typical production time of 6 to 12 weeks. We ship worldwide and quote transport separately based on destination, packing, access and local import requirements.
Can I experience Bloomlight S before ordering?
Yes, depending on timing and location. Ask about a studio visit in Amsterdam or current showroom and event viewing options.
