Bloomlight Illuminates Athens

Director of engineering Simon Luitse with his son in Athens

VOUW's iconic Bloomlights lit up the nights in Athens from November 17, 2023, to January 5, 2024. Installed at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, a beacon of modern architecture and cultural dynamism, our Bloomlight provided an enchanting experience for visitors.

This temporary installation, facilitated in collaboration with the Light Art Collection, showcased the intersection of art and technology to create unique, interactive experiences that invite passersby to pause and reconnect with their surroundings. The project emphasized VOUW's commitment to the principle of 'slowtech,' using technology to slow down life and foster human interactions in the real world.

As the Bloomlights gently bent towards passersby, opening their petals of light, they offered a respite from the urban hustle of Athens. This installation is just one of the many ways VOUW continues to innovate in using public spaces for art and interaction.

The beautiful photographs of the installation, including a special moment featuring our Director of Engineering, Simon Luitse, with his son, capture the magic that Bloomlight brings wherever it goes. These moments not only seize the essence of our designs but also the personal connections they foster.

VOUW is proud to be part of such a rich cultural event and looks forward to more opportunities to share our unique approach to design and technology with the world.
